Though trained as a painter, Klotz’s body of work encompasses a variety of media. She is particularly well known for her “tapestries,” where she embroiders small beads into heavy canvases. Klotz notes that she tries to play with texture in her work and aims to make rough surfaces look soft and soft surfaces rough. While working as a professional artist, Klotz has traveled the world where she has developed a number of multicultural art programs in Australia, West Africa, Mexico, Taiwan, and Israel.
